A training aircraft from the Redbird Flight Training Academy met with an unfortunate accident on Sunday morning near Gojubavi village in Maharashtra's Pune district. The incident occurred around 8 am and resulted in injuries to a trainee pilot and an instructor who were on board during the crash.
Authorities have identified the plane as belonging to the Redbird Flight Training Academy. Following the incident, both the trainee pilot and the instructor received immediate medical attention and were promptly transported to a nearby hospital for further care.
As of now, the precise cause of the crash remains unknown, prompting an ongoing investigation by local authorities to ascertain the circumstances that led to this incident. It is of utmost importance to understand the factors contributing to this accident to prevent similar occurrences in the future and ensure the safety of individuals participating in aviation training activities.
Remarkably, this incident is the second involving the Redbird Flight Training Academy's aircraft within a span of just four days. On Thursday evening, another training aircraft from the academy crashed near Kaftal village in Baramati taluka, resulting in injuries to a pilot.
These back-to-back incidents are a cause for concern, prompting a reevaluation of safety protocols and training procedures to enhance the overall safety of aviation training activities conducted by private academies. Further investigations will shed light on the exact circumstances of both accidents, offering insights into any necessary safety improvements.
