With effect from 18.10.2023 windfall tax:
1. Special additional excise duty (SAED) on crude petroleum will reduce from Rs. 12200/Tonne to Rs. 9050/Tonne.
2. SAED on Diesel will reduce from 5 /litre to Rs. 4/Litre
3. SAED on petrol will continue at Nil.
4. SAED on ATF will reduce from 3.50/litre to Re 1 /litre

Senior advocate and Rajya Sabha MP Mahesh Jethmalani says, "…Supreme Court has said, we don't have the power to give you the right. It doesn't flow from the Constitution. If the right to marry flows from the Constitution then we could say that you have the right to marry as per the Constitution.
