Running a Reverse Image Search of the video keyframes, the NM team identified similar footage in a report of India Today, dated September 8, 2022, with a title: “Fans hit each other with chairs at the stadium after Pakistan beat Afghanistan in Asia Cup Watch.” According to the report, a clash broke out between the supporters of Afghanistan and Pakistan cricket teams after Afghanistan lost a match to Pakistan at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. Raising slogans like “Afghanistan Zindabad,” the fans allegedly started vandalising the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

According to the reports, the match was held on September 7, 2022, where Afghanistan had given a target of 130 runs to Pakistan. Pakistan won this match by one wicket in the last over.
Thus, we can conclusively say that the viral video is not related to the 2023 World Cup match between India and Pakistan.
