Actor Saiyami Kher believes no one can compete with Amitabh Bachchan. The megastar is a true “perfectionist”, who never takes his job for granted, Saiyami shared as she opened up about filming an episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati with him.
To promote her latest release Ghoomer, which also featured Amitabh Bachchan in a special appearance, Saiyami visited the sets of KBC. The actor said the screen icon wasn’t keeping well, but no one could tell that from his energy levels.
“No one can compare to the energy that he has,” Saiyami told The Lallantop. The actor said, owing to the format of the show, KBC offers the option of retakes for actors, but this is something that Amitabh Bachchan never used throughout the filming of the episode.
“He rehearses so much before he starts shooting the show… He speaks the best Hindi in the country, but before shooting the show, he starts listening to Hindi radio. He says, ‘I have to get used to it.’ He has been hosting KBC for 22 years now, yet he comes on set after so much of rehearsals.
“There wasn’t one single cut in that full shoot for one hour. He said, ‘The audience is sitting here, forget that it is (recorded for TV), it has to be perfect.’ He is such a perfectionist, a genius,” she added.

Ghoomer, which released in August, starred Saiyami as a cricketer, who loses her right arm in an accident and is then mentored by Abhishek Bachchan to train and succeed in the sport ye again. The R Balki directorial was a box office failure.
In an earlier interview with indianexress.com, Balki said Ghoomer got “smashed” in the Gadar 2 “tsunami” and wished they had a better release window. “We had no other date, had we come along with Gadar 2, we may have been better off. Because Gadar 2 did better in the second week. Nobody expected this kind of a thing. We thought everyone will do well and we can have the second week. This kind of tsunami was not expected,” he had said.
