Yuvraj Singh led a band of senior Indian players including the likes of Suresh Raina, Ambati Rayudu, Harbhajan Singh and the Pathan brothers (Irfan and Yusuf) in the World Championship of Legends
Yuvraj-led India Champions won the World Championship of Legends after beating Pakistan Champions in the final by five wickets
While many of the players have been absolute superstars and legends of the game for India at the international level, a few have not even played for India at the highest level
Anureet Singh, the 36-year-old pacer, who played 23 matches in the IPL for teams like Kings XI Punjab and Rajasthan Royals, never played for India but was the strike bowler for India Champions in the WCL
Rahul Shukla, the Jharkhand pacer, too played 7 matches in the IPL for teams like the then Delhi Daredevils and Rajasthan Royals, however, didn’t play for India at all
Pawan Negi is also one of the young seniors in the legends side, just 31 years of age but did play for India once, in 2016 in a T20I against Bangladesh
Saurabh Tiwary and Gurkeerat Mann are the other players, who played very few games for India. Both of them three each, Tiwary in 2010 and Mann in 2016 but were part of the India Champions squad
