IPL 2024 Auction: A number of big names have registered for the Indian Premier League 2024 auction but England’s star pace bowler Jofra Archer, who was released but Mumbai Indians hasn’t registered.
As the IPL 2024 auction is scheduled to take place in Dubai on December 19, a total of 1166 players have registered as per a report from Cricbuzz.
Top names like Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins, and Travis Head from Australia’s World Cup-winning team will go under the hammer whereas Daryl Mitchell and Rachin Ravindra are also among the big names who will be seeking to find a place in any of the franchises in the 10-team league.

The list also consists of 212 capped, 909 uncapped, and 45 Associate players.
A total number of 830 Indian players have registered out of which 18 are capped players, some of them are Varun Aaron, KS Bharat, Kedar Jadhav, Siddarth Kaul, Dhawal Kulkarni, Shivam Mavi, Shahbaz Nadeem, Karun Nair, Manish Pandey, Harshal Patel, Chetan Sakariya, Mandeep Singh, Barinder Sran, Shardul Thakur, Jaydev Unadkat, Hanuma Vihari, Sandeep Warrier and Umesh Yadav.
There are only four capped Indian players who have registered namely Harshal Patel, Kedar Jadhav, Shardul Thakur, and Umesh Yadav after they were recently released by their franchises.
They have set their base price at a maximum of Rs 2 crore. The remaining 14 will be available at the reserve price of Rs 50 lakh.
A note has been sent by the BCCI to all the franchises to respond with additional player requests, if any, not listed on the Auction Register.
The requested players will get the automatic inclusion in the auction if they would meet the eligibility.

The franchises would have to keep in mind while making requests for players that only 77 slots are to be filled, of which a maximum of 30 can be overseas players.
