India’s most wanted terrorists Abu Jundal, Hafiz Muhammed Jameel, Yusuf Azhar, Abu Akasha and Mohammad Hassan Khan have been killed in Indian strikes on terror launch pads in Pakistan’s Muridke under Operation Sindoor on May 7 in retaliation for the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, sources said.

Sargodha airbase attack: India has launched a retaliatory strike on the Sargodha Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Airbase located in Pakistan’s Punjab province. The move comes in response to escalating hostilities and continued provocations, marking a significant escalation in the ongoing tensions between the two nations.
In response to Pakistan’s attempted drone strikes on the night of 8 and 9 May 2025 targeting multiple cities in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab, the Indian Army launched a coordinated fire assault on terrorist launchpads near the Line of Control. Pakistan military bases at Rafiqui, Murid, Chaklala, Rahim Yar Khan, Sukkur and Chunian were targeted through air launch, precision ammunition and fighter jets. Radar site in Pasrur and aviation base in Sialkot were also targeted with precision ammunition. During these actions, India ensured minimum collateral damage and losses.”
The government said that Pakistan was moving its troops to forward areas along the border – a first such build-up since the 1999 Kargil War – but the Indian forces were prepared and alert. Addressing a press briefing on Saturday after Pakistan targeted 26 military locations across four states, the government said India carried out precision strikes at four Pakistani airbases.
Wing Commander Vyomika Singh says, “In a swift and calibrated response, Indian armed forces carried out a precision strike only at identified military targets… Pakistan has also attempted to execute a continued malicious misinformation campaign, with claims of destruction of the Indian S-400 system, destruction of airfields at Surat and Sirsa… India unequivocally rejects these false claims being spread by Pakistan.”
The Pakistani forces have continued aggressive activities on the entire Western front. UCAP drones, long-range weapons, ammunition, and fighter jets have been used, they targeted the army infrastructures. Heavy firing were seen at the LoC.
“At the LoC and IB, their fighter jets tried to intrude at more than 26 locations. Indian armed forces neutralised most of the attempts. But they inflicted damage at air force stations in Udhampur, Pathankot, Bhuj, Bathida stations. They used a high-speed missile to hit Punjab’s air base at 1.40 am,” Colonel Sophiya Qureshi said.

It added that the US Department of State continues to remind American citizens of its standing “Do Not Travel” advisory against all travel to areas near the India-Pakistan border and the Line of Control due to terrorism and the potential for armed conflict.
China on Saturday strongly urged both India and Pakistan to remain calm, exercise restraint, and return to the path of peaceful resolution. Expressing deep concern over the escalating tensions, the Chinese Foreign Ministry stated that it is closely monitoring the situation between the two countries.
“We strongly urge both sides to act in the broader interest of regional peace and stability, avoid actions that could worsen the situation, and resolve their issues through political and peaceful means,” the ministry’s spokesperson said.
The statement further emphasised that such an approach serves the fundamental interests of both nations and is essential for maintaining a stable and peaceful region, aligning with the expectations of the international community.

After a drone was spotted near the Bhuj Air Force Station, the road leading to the airbase has been closed to traffic. Police security in the area has been heightened. Local residents reported hearing sirens in the morning. Information about the drone sighting also came from the Mahila Ashram and 36 Quarters area of Bhuj, where people described what they saw during a walkthrough and shared their accounts with officials.
The Press Information Bureau (PIB) has dismissed as false Pakistan’s claim of capturing an Indian pilot alive in Muzaffarabad, along with its assertion that a Sukhoi Su-30MKI fighter jet of the Indian Air Force was shot down in the region. PIB’s Fact Check department confirmed that both claims are entirely fabricated.
Urging social media users not to spread misinformation, PIB stated: “Fake News Alert!! Pakistani social media handles are claiming that a Sukhoi Su-30MKI was shot down in Muzaffarabad, capturing an Indian pilot alive.”
India has rejected Pakistan’s claim of destroying the S-400 air defence missile system, calling the allegation baseless and entirely false. The S-400 system, referred to by the Indian armed forces as the ‘Sudarshan Chakra’, has played a crucial role in effectively countering Pakistani drone and missile attacks following Operation Sindoor.
