Bigg Boss 17 Premiere Live: Salman Khan returns with yet another season of TV's most controversial show. The actor-host described the contestants as more explosive than ever, requiring them to use their “dil, dimaag aur dum” (heart, brain, and strength). This season is expected to introduce some never-before-seen rules. While the list of contestants remains a closely guarded secret, promos released by Colors TV have been teasing potential participants. The tentative list of contestants includes a wide range of personalities, from actor Ankita Lokhande and her husband Vicky Jain to stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui, who previously won the reality show Lock Upp. Other expected contestants are actors Isha Malviya and Abhishek Kumar, and there are reports suggesting that Priyanka Chopra's cousin, Mannara Chopra, might also be part of the show.
It will be aired on Colors TV at 10 pm on weekdays and at 9 pm on weekends, which will be Salman's special episodes and are known as 'Weekend Ka Vaar'. Fans can also watch their favourite show on the OTT platform, JioCinema.

Udaariyaan couple Abhishek Kumar and Isha Malviya have enter the show. The premiere episode shows a significant showdown between the rumoured ex-couple. Isha and Abhishek get into a heated argument on the show, leaving Salman Khan completely shocked.
Gamer Arun Mashettey makes his entry into the house. He along with Rinku is shown glimpses of the other contestants and asks if they feel threatened by them.
Sunny Arya as Tehelka Bhai takes over the stage. A glimpse of his pranks is shown on the show. Sunny is given the choice to pick between Soniya and Khanzaadi, and he decides to wear handcuffs with the latter, which leads to a humorous and chaotic scenario where his wife Deepika appears on stage to give him a thrashing in a playful manner.
Khanzaadi makes a stylish entry on stage and introduces herself as a free-spirited individual who had chosen her own name. She also mentioned that her other name is Firoza Khan.
Model and actress Soniya Bansal makes last-minute entry into the house. She expressed, “I just came last minute, packed a bag and came. I will see if I get clothes from others in the house. I will manage.” Bigg Boss introduces Soniya Bansal as sundar, susheel and ready to mingle.
Salman Khan engaged Ankita and Vicky in a playful conversation. He had Ankita promise that she would let Vicky get eliminated in her place, handle her share of household chores, and endure her share of scolding, among other things. Salman also had Vicky promise that Ankita would not sit on any chair in the house as he would make her sit on his head and would always praise her.
Ankita Lokhande and her husband Vicky Jain made their entrance as contestants on the show and celebrated it by dancing to romantic songs on stage.
Jigna Vora mentioned her experience of living in jail with 40 women and expressed her ability to peacefully coexist with people. Jigna and Sana entered the show together and chose to enter the second house – “Dimag.”
Former crime journalist Jigna Vora entered the show, and she had previously been falsely accused of a murder conspiracy. She expressed, “Mera vanvaas khatam hua,” meaning her exile or ordeal had come to an end. The actor addressed Jigna’s controversy on stage, where the former reporter mentioned that she felt reborn after enduring nine months in jail. Before entering the Bigg Boss 17 house, Salman Khan inquired if she had any wishes. Jigna expressed her wish to speak to her son, and she had a conversation with him, stating her determination to win the trophy for both of them.

The popular moto vlogger from Uttarakhand, Anurag Dobhal, also known as ‘Babu,’ entered the Bigg Boss 17 house as the sixth contestant. Before entering the house, Anurag shared his last vlog with Salman Khan. He also made a request to create a small vlog with the actor before stepping into the house.
Navid Sole, an international pharmacist and well-known TV personality, enters show. Salman Khan announces that he will be exempt from the ‘No English’ speaking rule. Navid also had some Hindi lessons from Salman and he engaged in a hilarious conversation with Aishwarya on the Bigg Boss stage. Navid tried pani puris.
Neil Bhatt and Aishwarya Sharma make a stylish entry on the show by dancing to the tune of “What Jhumka” while dressed in matching white outfits.
Munawar Faruqui is the second contestant to enter the Bigg Boss house. During his entry, he mentioned that he had been offered the opportunity to host the show in the previous season, but the deal didn’t materialise due to financial disagreements. He and Salman engage in some fun banter.
After Munawar’s stand up act, Salman Khan asks him if he likes ‘hirasat’. To this, the comedian says, “Aisa koi shauq nahi hai, who likes that?” Salman adds, “Ab tak karte aye ho stand up. Weekend pe jab main aau toh karna shut up.”
Salman Khan welcomed Mannara Chopra, who is Priyanka Chopra’s cousin. She made her entrance in a stunning red saree and performed a dance to the song “Saami Saami” before stepping into the Bigg Boss house. BB terms her ‘nakhrewali’, and is sure she will do nakhras inside the house. Mannara was presented with options for choosing her room. She quickly decided and chose the “Dil” room. Additionally, she was designated as the monitor by Bigg Boss.
Bigg Boss 17 opened with voiceover addressing the various accusations that the show’s makers have faced in the past. However, Bigg Boss himself added that the show will continue to be biased and may even show favoritism because it’s his territory. Salman Khan made a grand entrance, dressed in black casuals with a vibrant red jacket. He also entertained the audience by dancing to several of his hit songs.
Bigg Boss 17 is expected to feature a diverse and well-known cast of contestants, including, Ankita Lokhande with her husband Vicky Jain, telly couple Neil Bhatt and Aishwarya Sharma, former journalist Jigna Vora and Lawyer Sana, who previously handled Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan’s drug case among various other prominent personalities from different walks of life. Promos for the show have provided a glimpse not only of the performances but also of the conflicts and disputes that are likely to unfold. Notably, actors Isha Malviya and Abhishek Kumar from “Udaariyaan,” who were once good friends during the show, have been shown locking horns in the promos.
Rajiv Adatia, who participated in Bigg Boss 15, took to his X handle to send wishes to those who are now entering the 17th season. He wrote, “Wishing my Dearest, Ankita, Vicky, Abhishek and Munawar all the very best for Bb17! Go rock it!! I’m sure these guys will reach really far!! Lots of love to you!! Have fun!! #bb17.”
A promo video was recently released in which host Salman Khan is seen showcasing his dancing skills alongside an unidentified contestant. The video features him grooving to Laal Dupatta. While it remains unconfirmed with whom he danced, the fans and viewers thought its ‘Mannara Chopra.’
Well, according to the released promos and videos, tt appears that Aishwarya Sharma and Neil Bhatt will be delivering a high-voltage romantic performance on the premiere night. Also, according to Khabri, the responsibility of deciding the first captain of the Bigg Boss 17 house has been entrusted to Anurag Doval and Sunny Arya.

The Bigg Boss 17 house has a different aesthetic this season, departing from the over-the-top lavish interiors of earlier seasons. It features a vintage and gothic vibe, with a simpler look characterised by brick walls and stone floors. This time the living room has been transformed into a European street. The printed carpets are looking beautiful. This season, the confession room also looks demonic. It looks like Game of Thrones and Harry Potter sets. Also, Hours ahead of the grand premiere, Bigg Boss released a new promo and revealed that he will be favouring a few contestants this season. Reportedly, Neil Bhatt and Aishwarya Sharma will not be staying in the same room, as they have been said to be separated by Bigg Boss. Watch
